About Mateo
Hi there my name is Mateo! I love storytelling so much. When I was a kid, I fought cancer three times, so I never really had a normal childhood. Even though I was trapped and confined to my hospital room and the pain from my treatment, I was still able to dream. I was inspired by the movies and shows where I would witness unlikely heroes overcoming impossible odds. I wanted to be like them. I wanted to be a hero. Now as I am 15 years cancer free, I've been dedicating my life to equip others with strength, courage, and hope through the stories I share in film & TV.
I have been freelancing mainly as a PA for about two years. My ultimate goal is to direct. I wanted to direct in every type of project. Whether it's film, TV, commercials, social spots, animation-- I want to do it all. I want to help others by giving them the tools to seize each day with confidence and joy. I'm so grateful to God and everyone who has helped me in my journey. I am hopeful of the future and I look forward to meet many others who will join me in my journey to help others through film.
